England international Jadon Sancho has agreed a deal in principle for his transfer from Manchester United to domestic rivals Chelsea on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy.
The Blues were active on deadline day negotiating several deals including outgoings and incomings.
The Stamford Bridge outfit and Italian side Juventus were logged into a bidding war for the former Borussia Dortmund winger but his priority was to remain in England.
The London side submitted two separate bids as reported by transfer expert Fabriozio Romano.
One was a loan deal with an option to buy while the other loan deal came with an obligation.
United preferred a loan with an obligation to buy with £20 million initial fee guaranteed with £5 million in add-ons to make the deal £25 million in full package.
Sancho already agreed terms with Chelsea as all the development came on deadline day but papers were exchanged and signed on time for Sancho to complete the swoop away from his disastrous stay at Manchester United.
Sancho has scored just nine goals in 58 appearances since joining Manchester United in a whooping €85 million deal from German side Borussia Dortmund back in 2021.
- The 24-year old spent last season on loan in his second spell at Borussia Dortmund scoring just two goals but flourished in chances created and in assists as he has joined Chelsea to further his development after the feud with United manager Erik Ten Hag.
