This significant partnership was unveiled during a collaborative press briefing, where the leaders of both parties reaffirmed their dedication to upholding democratic principles and advocating for governance reform.

Dr. Enabulele expressed his enthusiasm about the integration of SDP members, highlighting their mutual aspiration for progress in Edo State.

“We are excited to welcome SDP members into the Accord family,” Dr. Enabulele stated. “Their choice to stand with us signifies a shared commitment to democracy and a move away from authoritarianism. Together, we aim to provide the innovative and inclusive leadership that the people of Edo deserve.”

In the meantime, Yakubu Asimu, the Deputy Chairman of SDP in Edo State, elaborated on the motivations behind this alliance. “We have grown tired of the persistent autocracy and stagnation in Edo State,” he remarked. “Aligning with Accord showcases our determination to foster change and promote a government that is transparent and accountable to its citizens.”
