As revealed by Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, American pop sensation Selena Gomez has officially entered the billionaire ranks.

The multi-talented actress, singer, and entrepreneur has amassed an impressive $1.3 billion fortune, largely driven by the success of her beauty line, Rare Beauty.

According to the report, over 80% of Gomez’s net worth stems from her stake in Rare Beauty Brand Inc., with brand partnerships, acting roles, and mental-health ventures also contributing to her wealth.

Gomez, who first gained fame as a child star in the early 2000s, made her mark as Alex Russo in Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, reportedly earning $3 million during her time on the show from 2007 to 2012. Following her Disney days, she embarked on a music career, first as the lead of Selena Gomez & the Scene and then as a solo artist.

Despite her massive following on social media—boasting 424 million Instagram followers and ranking just behind football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi—music tours and album sales make up a small portion of her fortune. Tours account for less than 5% of her wealth, and she hasn’t toured since 2016.

The true powerhouse behind Gomez’s billionaire status is her Rare Beauty brand, which contributes a staggering $1.1 billion to her fortune, proving that her entrepreneurial ventures are just as successful as her entertainment career.
