Aminu Tambuwal, the Senator representing Sokoto-South and former governor of Sokoto State, has attributed the current hardships in the country to the re-election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto, Tambuwal stated that they had warned Nigerians not to repeat the mistake of voting for the APC, as they believed the party had nothing positive to offer.

According to Tambuwal, the APC’s primary focus was to seize power and occupy positions, rather than being prepared to effectively lead the country.

He expressed his concern about the increasing hardships that many Nigerians are facing, which he attributed to the failure of the APC.

Tambuwal urged the opposition to unite and work together to ensure that the APC is defeated in the next election.

He emphasized that it is the collective responsibility of all Nigerians to ensure that the APC loses at all levels of government.

Furthermore, Tambuwal commended the leaders of the PDP for their efforts in keeping the party united and strong.

He also mentioned that some prominent members of the APC, including serving commissioners, have indicated their interest in joining the PDP.
