A wave of apprehension has gripped Abuja, the political nerve center of Nigeria, in the wake of a harrowing incident involving Musa Majaga, a prominent figure within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In the early hours of Monday, July 15, 2024, Majaga was targeted by a group of kidnappers in the Kwali area of the federal capital territory, triggering a state of fear and uncertainty.
Reports indicate that at approximately 12:23 am, the criminals launched a brazen assault, storming the vicinity and subjecting Majaga to a gunshot wound in his leg before forcibly abducting five other individuals.
Recalling the heart-wrenching ordeal, Abdullahi, a resident of Yangoji, recounted the terrifying sequence of events to the press.
He revealed that the kidnappers gained access to Majaga’s residence by breaking a window and callously proceeded to shoot him. Tragically, Majaga’s two children were also snatched from the safety of their home.
Adding to the horrifying chain of events, Abdullahi further disclosed, “After seizing two of his children, they proceeded to another apartment and abducted three additional neighbors.”
The incident has sent shockwaves throughout Abuja, leaving its residents on edge as they grapple with the unsettling reality of such audacious criminal activity hitting close to home.
