On August 25, 2024, the Women of Rubies community gathered for the second edition of their Sip and Network event at The Foy House, located at 92 Isabella Street. This vibrant event brought together women from various industries for an evening focused on empowerment, collaboration, and insightful discussions aimed at fostering personal and professional growth.
The event was skillfully hosted by Ariyike Akinbobola, a well-known media personality. Her warm and engaging style helped create an atmosphere conducive to meaningful interactions, encouraging attendees to connect and share experiences.
Esther Ijewere, the founder of Women of Rubies and the visionary behind the event, delivered an inspiring welcome address. 2. Modupe Ehinlaiye, a legal expert and talk show host, discussed “Leveraging Media to Celebrate Diaspora Achievements.” She highlighted the role of media in showcasing the successes of diaspora communities and introduced her upcoming BOND Awards, which aim to honor Nigerians in the diaspora.
3. Amaechi Omijeh, a small business blogger, shared insights on “Promoting Small Businesses through Lifestyle Blogging.” She offered actionable strategies for entrepreneurs to use lifestyle blogging as a tool to boost their businesses.
4. Pamela Anoliefo, a career coach, explored “Leveraging Social Media for Personal and Professional Growth.” She emphasized the importance of social media in personal branding and career advancement, providing guidance on building a strong online presence.
5. Tanya Kelen of Kelen Content concluded the speaker sessions with her talk on “Content Production & Marketing for Personal Brand Growth.” She discussed effective methods for creating and marketing content to enhance personal brand impact.
