Six people sustained injuries on Sunday following a head-on collision between a Volkswagen commercial bus and a Toyota Camry on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Commander in Badagry, Mr. William Manga, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The accident occurred at 1:37 p.m. near the Torikoh bus stop. FRSC personnel arrived at the scene within five minutes of being alerted.

According to Mr. Manga, the collision involved a Volkswagen commercial bus (registration number KTU 101 YU) and a Toyota Camry (registration number LSD 334 FL), both coming from Badagry.

In total, ten people were involved in the accident, with six sustaining injuries.

The commander attributed the crash to wrongful overtaking and speeding. The injured were promptly taken to the General Hospital in Badagry for medical treatment.

Mr. Manga urged drivers on the one-lane expressway to be cautious and adhere to safe speed limits.
