Traders of Africa (TOFA), AliExpress, and MTN MoMo have announced a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing Nigeria’s e-commerce sector. The partnership was unveiled during a press conference in Lagos, where the involved parties highlighted their commitment to offering a seamless shopping experience. This includes competitive pricing, exclusive discounts, and fast shipping, all designed to enhance consumer satisfaction.

The collaboration is not just about consumer convenience; it also aims to empower local entrepreneurs. By enhancing digital infrastructure, the partnership is expected to boost economic development in Nigeria. Uju Uzo-Ojinaka, the CEO of TOFA, expressed excitement about bridging the gap between Nigerian consumers and global markets. She noted that the vision of creating an “Alibaba for Africa” is now a reality with the involvement of AliExpress, Speedaf, and MTN MoMo.

Through this partnership, Nigerian consumers can now purchase not only African products but also over 200 million items available on AliExpress. The integration with MTN MoMo allows for easy transactions in Nigerian Naira, making the shopping process more accessible and convenient for local consumers. Speedaf, a logistics provider, will ensure that products are delivered promptly and efficiently to customers’ addresses across the country.

Geoffrey Jiang, the Director of AliExpress Business Africa Key Account, emphasized the potential of this partnership to enhance the e-commerce ecosystem in Nigeria. He expressed confidence that with TOFA, MTN MoMo, and Speedaf, the partnership could significantly support digital trade across Africa.
