Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Chidera Ejike has verbally agreed to join Spanish side Sevilla as a free agent.
Ejike joined Russian side CSKA Moscow back in 2020 and needed to leave the club because of the current security challenges in the country caused by the ongoing Russia-Ukrain war.
All the clubs in the Russian League were compelled to allow their players to depart for another club.
The Nigerian international first joined a German Bundesliga 2 side on loan, Hertha BSC and later moved to Royal Antwerp where he played 29 times for the club.
Ejike, 26, according to a renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has agreed on personal terms with Sevilla and medical sessions have been booked to take place this week.
“Sevilla agrees deal to sign Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke as a free agent, here we go!”
“Verbal agreement in place with Sevilla on contract terms, medical and signature are booked for next week.” Fabrizio Romano added.
