World number one Iga Swiatek has defeated world number six Markéta Vondroušová on straight sets to set up a semi final clash with American teenage sensation Coco Gauff.
Swiatek outclassed her Czech Republic opponent 6-0, 6-2 to join the elite class in the semi final of this year’s French open.
The Polish star won 12 games out of the possible 14 leaving out just two games for her opponent.
Despite not producing a single ace in the entire duration of the game, Swiatek broke Vondroušová five times out of a possible nine. The 23-year old won 85 percent of her first serves with 50 percent of her second serves to progress to the semis.
Gauff on the other side needed three sets to advance to the semi finals after losing the first set 6-4 to Jabeur.
The American was on top of her game again in the second and third sets, winning 6-2, 6-3 respectively to press home her quest for a grand slam title.
World number three Gauff will battle Swiatek who is the current highest ranked female player by the WTA to decide on who will reach the final.
