Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has given a positive update on summer signing Leny Yoro who was injured during the preseason tour.

Yoro joined United from French Ligue 1 side Lille after facing competition from Spanish giants Barcelona in a deal worth more than £50 million.

Yoro picked up an injury against Arsenal in the Preseason and has yet to be able to make his long-awaited appearance in a United shirt.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of their clash against Spurs at Old Trafford on Sunday, Manchester United Boss Ten Hag said that the 18-year-old is doing very well in his recovery process.

“It is very pleasing that his rehab is going in the right direction, I expect him soon, but what I mean by soon is that he is now in the right planning process.

“He is in the right spot and he will return as soon as possible to the squad and then into the team training.

Though the actual time for his return isn’t mentioned yet, the centre-back is expected to join the team as soon as possible.
