Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, the Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano, has dismissed the purported suspension of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, asserting that those behind it were expelled from the party long ago.
Dungurawa clarified, “Let me be clear that these individuals claiming to have suspended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were expelled from the party for various anti-party activities and collusion with opposition forces.”
Responding to the communique allegedly extending the suspension by Umar Jibrin and Omalara Johnson, Dungurawa pointed out a fundamental flaw in their actions, stating, “There is a glaring inconsistency in their actions.”

He accused the opposition of orchestrating the crisis within NNPP, alleging, “They fear the imminent emergence of Kwankwaso as Nigeria’s next President in 2027.”
Dungurawa emphasized NNPP’s strength as a prominent emerging party poised to present the next president of Nigeria, asserting, “We are aware of the forces behind the supposed suspension, which are sponsored by the ruling government and the APC Chairman.”
