The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced that three people were saved from a building that collapsed in Abuja. This building, located at Unity House on Nkwere Street in Area 11, fell down at around 8:40 p.m. on Monday.
Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, mentioned in a statement that the police informed the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria and FCT Development Control. These agencies quickly sent their teams to the site to rescue those trapped in the building.
The statement shared with Thepaan News said: “After receiving the distress call, the Commissioner of Police for the FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, immediately went to the site with several patrol teams to secure the area and help with the rescue efforts.
“Three people were successfully taken out of the collapsed building and sent to the hospital for treatment. “The National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria and FCT Development Control were notified, and their teams are now in charge of managing the site effectively.
