President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, former aide to Atiku Abubakar, as Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media at the State House. Bwala, who served as spokesperson for Atiku’s 2023 presidential campaign, joins three newly appointed directors-general in key federal agencies.
The new appointees include Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Abisoye Fagade for the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun at the Bureau of Public Procurement.
In a statement, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, highlighted Bwala’s expertise as a lawyer and public affairs analyst.
Olopade with extensive sports administration experience, previously chaired the 2024 National Sports Festival organizing committee.
Fagade, a communications professional, is the founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, while Adedokun served as director of research at the Bureau of Public Procurement.
President Tinubu encouraged the new appointees to uphold dedication, patriotism, and excellence in their roles.
