President m Bola Tinubu has denounced the bomb blasts in Borno State’s Gwoza Local Government Area, which claimed lives and injured others.

According to Thepaan, a fatal bomb strike occurred Saturday during a wedding celebration in Tashan Mararaba, Gwoza town, Borno State, killing numerous people and injuring others.

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist, stated that the bomber, subsequently identified as a young woman in her early twenties, detonated her explosive device in the midst of the crowd, creating chaos and damage.

According to intelligence sources, the casualties were all civilians returning from a wedding party when the incident took place near a large motorpark.

Emergency personnel raced to the site to rescue the injured and bring them to Gwoza’s hospitals.

Saturday’s bomb strike is the first in years since Boko Haram launched bombing raids throughout the country in 2009. Notable attacks included the bombings of the United Nations office in 2010 and the bustling Nyanya auto park in Abuja in 2014.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President condemned the assaults as desperate acts of violence and a clear expression of the pressure applied to terrorists and the achievements gained in reducing their ability to conduct offensives.

The President declared that the purveyors of violence would be punished and that the cowardly attacks were only an isolated episode as his government would not allow the nation to slither into an era of fear, tears, sorrow, and blood.

The statement added, “The President stated that his administration is taking necessary measures to secure citizens, emphasizing that efforts will be redoubled to ensure that those who trouble the nation, dispatching precious lives, and disrupting law and order are completely removed.

“President Tinubu condoles with the victims of the attacks, the families of the deceased, as well as the government and people of Borno State.”
