Tinubu praised Minister Nyesom Wike for his exceptional leadership during challenging times, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to retool the financial system for national prosperity.

Tinubu commended Wike for his team-building skills and ability to fulfill promises, urging collaboration to achieve sustainable development.

He emphasized the importance of pursuing development that directly benefits the people, citing the value of accessible land over inaccessible terrain.

The President, noting that his commitment to nationwide infrastructure development was not for personal gain, praised the contractor, Gilmor Engineering Ltd., for their work. He reiterated his focus on improving quality of life and the living environment for all citizens.

Minister Nyesom Wike highlighted the history of the project, initially awarded in 2003 and later divided into Lots 1 and 2.

He praised Tinubu for approving the project’s revival and commended the President for his hands-off approach, allowing the ministry to work independently.

Wike appealed to the President to name major roads in Guzape District after literary giants Chinua Achebe and JP Clark. He also promised the completion of the ‘diplomatic area’ within a year.

In a project overview, the Executive Secretary of the FCDA, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, explained that Guzape District Lot II covers 620 hectares, with 129 hectares occupied by village settlements.

The entire district, including Lot 1, is designed to provide residential, commercial, and recreational facilities, covering 1,070 hectares of land in total.
