Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communication and Media, has confirmed that the president intends to seek re-election in 2027.
Speaking to reporters at the national headquarters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Bwala emphasized that Tinubu remains undeterred by the opposition’s tactics as the 2027 elections approach.
“He is dedicated to addressing the needs of the Nigerian populace, focusing on alleviating hunger, promoting agricultural reform, and helping citizens tackle their daily challenges,” Bwala stated.
He noted that the political campaign season is not yet upon them, but when it arrives, they will be fully prepared to engage with everyone.
Bwala expressed confidence that Tinubu’s achievements would resonate with voters, increasing his chances for a second term. “Provided that God grants the President health and longevity, we anticipate that he will fulfill his constitutional mandate.”
He dismissed any notions of the ruling party facing defeat in the upcoming election, asserting that Nigerians are well aware of the positive impacts of the Tinubu administration. “The citizens prioritize their immediate concerns over superficial differences. Their focus lies on practical issues affecting their lives,” he added.
Bwala concluded by stating that the Nigerian people will continue to support a government that addresses their needs effectively. “That is the essence of what President Tinubu is committed to delivering.”
