In a dramatic incident that occurred earlier today, a pregnant woman and her driver were swept off the road by floodwaters in Osogbo, Osun State.

The heavy rainfall, which began in the early hours of the morning, led to severe flooding in various parts of the state, causing significant disruptions and posing a serious threat to residents.

According to eyewitness reports, the woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was on her way to a prenatal appointment when their vehicle was caught in the rising floodwaters along a major roadway.

The powerful current quickly overwhelmed the car, sweeping it off the road and into a nearby ditch.
