Mr. Samuel Oyedeji, the State Sector Commander of the FRSC, shared with our correspondent that the accident involved a Ford Galaxy space wagon and a Mazda car. The crash occurred on Thursday and resulted in a total of eight casualties, with three survivors who are currently receiving medical treatment.
The cause of the accident, according to Oyedeji, was attributed to excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking. He explained that the head-on collision happened because one of the drivers was attempting to overtake another vehicle in a dangerous manner, leading to the tragic outcome. “The head-on collision between the two cars moving in opposite directions was due to speeding and wrongful overtaking by one of the drivers,” Oyedeji stated.
