The quiet community of Iseyin in Oyo State was shaken today by the shocking arrest of a young man in his late 20s, identified as Nurudeen, who is accused of killing his mother, in what police suspect to be a ritualistic murder.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered the lifeless body of Mrs. Labake in the family’s living room, surrounded by items commonly associated with ritual practices.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder was premeditated and ritualistic in nature, though authorities are still piecing together the full details of the case.
Neighbors described Mrs. Labake as a kind woman. Her sudden and violent death has left the community in mourning and disbelief.
