In a tragic incident earlier today, three individuals lost their lives in a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck along the popular Ife-Ibadan expressway in Ile-Ife.
According to eyewitness reports, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when a speeding truck lost control and veered into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with an oncoming motorcycle carrying three passengers.
The impact was so severe that all three occupants of the motorcycle were killed instantly.
Local authorities, including the police and emergency services, quickly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and clear the wreckage.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital for identification.
The driver of the truck was taken into custody for questioning as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
