A truck driver from ALACC MAC Group at Almadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, named Sunday Folorunsho, who is 39 years old, got nabbed by the Police m at the Bar Beach division, Victoria Island, Lagos. He’s been taken to a Lagos Magistrate’s Court for supposedly stealing 2,137 litres of diesel from his employer over some time.

Folorunsho allegedly used the diesel, valued at N3,419,200, for himself, which meant his employers didn’t get the revenue they were supposed to.

The police claimed that the guy did the theft by taking some of the diesel he was supposed to deliver to customers. They found out about the theft when they checked the diesel he was supposed to give to customers.

After Inspector Patience Eguabor and the team looked into it, Folorunsho got taken to Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on Lagos Island for two charges of conspiracy and stealing.

The police lawyer, Mr. Ben Ekundayo, told the Court that  Sunday Folorunsho did the crime on 26th February 2024 at ALACC MAC Group in Almadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ekundayo told the Court that Sunday Folorunsho really broke the trust his employers had in him as their diesel truck driver by taking the diesel he was supposed to deliver to customers, which meant his employers didn’t get the money they were supposed to.

He mentioned that the crimes the guy did are punishable under sections 411 and 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Sunday denied the allegation and Magistrate M.E Owunmi gave him bail of N1m with two sureties who have paid taxes to the Lagos State Government for three years.

Owunmi adjourned the case to 11th June 2024 for mention and said  Sunday Folorunsho should be remanded  at the Ikoyi correctional facility until he meets the bail conditions.
