Violence erupted among students from several Ibadan-based secondary schools, resulting in injuries to at least two individuals.

The affected schools include Ibadan Grammar School, St. Luke’s High School, Olubi Memorial School, St. David High School, and Anglican Grammar School Eyin Grammar, Molete.

The clash caused tension in the area, prompting residents and passersby to seek safety.According to an eyewitness, the confrontation arose from a rivalry clash and escalated into violence after school hours.

One of the victims, Samson Ayooola, a Junior Secondary School 1 student of St. Luke’s School, recounted being attacked with a machete while waiting at the gate of Ibadan Grammar School for a friend.

Despite initial rejection by a nearby health facility, he received treatment at Molete Medical Center.Another victim was also treated at Molete Health Center and has been receiving subsequent treatment at home.
