In a tragic turn of events, two suspects, Hassan Usman and Gaji Folawiyo, have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with the brutal murder of a medical doctor.
The doctor, who was abducted earlier in the month, lost her life after her family was unable to meet the kidnappers’ ransom demand of 10 million naira.
The medical professional was reportedly abducted while returning home from work. The kidnappers contacted her family, demanding a hefty sum for her release. Despite efforts to gather the ransom, the family could not raise the amount requested.
Ogun State Police spokesperson confirmed that after intense investigations, the suspects were arrested in a covert operation. “We have arrested two individuals, Hassan Usman and Gaji Folawiyo, who are believed to be the masterminds behind this heinous crime. They have been taken into custody and are currently undergoing interrogation,” he said.

Further investigations are expected to uncover more details about the kidnapping and any other accomplices involved in the plot.
This incident has sparked outrage and concern among citizens, with many calling for stronger measures to combat the rising cases of abduction across the country.
The suspects are expected to be charged in court once investigations are concluded. Meanwhile, the public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
