Social commentator and critic, Very Dark Man (VDM), has addressed the legal letter issued by rapper Falz, demanding an apology and retraction of statements made by VDM concerning an alleged audio recording involving popular cross-dresser, Bobrisky. The audio claimed Bobrisky contacted Falz and his father to secure a presidential pardon.
In a video shared on Instagram on Thursday morning, VDM revealed he had a phone conversation with Falz, during which he clarified that he had not defamed the rapper. VDM said he informed Falz, who is also a lawyer, that, conveniently, he wouldn’t need to hire another lawyer to represent him in court. VDM stood firm in his position, stating, “I will see you in court.”
Expanding on the situation, VDM shared his confusion over the conflicting accounts surrounding the audio clip. He noted, “Bobrisky is saying the voice call was fake, and now Falz is confirming they had a call. The only difference is, Falz says Bobrisky called him, while Bobrisky claims Falz called him. Falz is saying Bobrisky asked him for N3 million, while Bobrisky is saying Falz asked for N10 million for his father, a lawyer.”
VDM questioned why Falz directed the letter at him instead of addressing Bobrisky, suggesting that Falz should have asked Bobrisky to clear his name. VDM reiterated that his motive for sharing the audio was to expose the alleged corruption mentioned by Bobrisky, including claims that Bobrisky bribed the EFCC with N15 million to avoid prison and was instead housed in a private lodge.
VDM concluded his response by questioning how Bobrisky was even able to make calls from prison, further fueling the intrigue surrounding the case. “To be honest, I did not defame Falz and Uncle Femi Falana,” VDM asserted.
As the controversy escalates, fans and observers are keenly watching how the legal proceedings between VDM and Falz will unfold.
