Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, has made his way back to Abuja after completing the lesser pilgrimage, known as Umrah, at the Sacred Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
While at this revered site, the Vice President devoted time to pray for the peace and stability of Nigeria. “Our prayer is for tranquility to reign in our land. May Allah bestow peace and social harmony upon us,” he expressed earnestly.
Shettima’s prayers encompassed calls for guidance and strength for Nigeria’s leaders, extending from the federal level down to local governments.
Before embarking on this spiritual journey, VP Shettima had represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the inauguration of a $315 million oil production and storage facility, which is owned by Oriental Energy Limited (OERL) in Dubai, UAE.
