Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has been found guilty of the charges levied against him after the German Super cup final.

Boniface was charged for an unsporting Behavior after appearing to throw his middle finger in the direction of the opponent’s supporters.

As reported on Wednesday, the German football authority has fined the Nigerian €25,000 while also being suspended for one DBF Pokal match.

Boniface was a starter in the German Super cup final for Leverkusen against Stuttgart as he scored the opening goal, tapping in Todibo’s header.

Stuttgart equalised as the game ended 2-2 on regulation time, taking the game to penalties.

Leverkusen won via shootout as they began their season with a triumph, starting solid just as they ended last season.
