Wigwe University: The current finest world class university in Nigeria and the fees.
Late Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe whose private university, Wigwe University has been trending due to it’s ivy league standard which is different from most Nigerian universities.
The university is set to officially open to kickstart resumption by August but faculty members of the university are set to resume by July. The university, which is situated in Isiokpo in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State will offer a range of programmes which cut across various colleges like College of Management and Social Sciences, College of Arts, College of Science and Computing, College of Engineering.
The university Vice Chancellor, Miles Davis, who was appointed by the private university has a Phd in human and Organizational resources from the George Washington University in the United States.
Going through the university’s website, it showed the most expensive colleges are the college of management and social science, college of science and computing, college of engineering which will pay a total of N11,998,800 per session. While the College of Arts pay a total fee of N9,600,000 per session.
The fee for all respective colleges covers tuition, books, health insurance, laboratory supplies and consumables, personal protective equipment, project lab resources, e-learning resources and facility maintenance etc
The Late founder of the university, Herbert Wigwe was among six people who died on 9 February 2024 in a helicopter crash, alongside his wife Doreen Chizoba Wigwe, his 29 year old son Chizi Wigwe, former Nigerian Exchange Group Plc Chairman Abimbola Ogunbanjo, and two crew members.
