In a shocking incident today in Niger State, police have arrested a woman identified as Ruth for allegedly throwing her three-month-old baby into a river.
The arrest was made by officers from the Niger State Police Command following an urgent call from concerned residents near the river in Minna.
According to the police spokesperson, the incident occurred early this morning when Ruth, reportedly suffering from severe mental distress, was seen tossing her infant into the water.
