The lifeless body of a young woman was found in a drain in the early hours of this morning.
The tragic discovery was made by local residents in the Ojodu area, who immediately alerted the authorities.
The deceased, identified as 27-year-old Mercy Smith, had been reported missing by her family two days ago. Her body showed signs of physical trauma, leading the police to suspect foul play.
Following preliminary investigations, the police have arrested Mercy’s boyfriend, 30-year-old Ayodele Andrew, in connection with the incident. According to sources close to the investigation, there were indications of a troubled relationship between the two.
