Tragedy struck in Anambra State as a woman, who had told her husband she was going to church on Sunday morning, was found dead and concealed in a large sack this morning.
The woman, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, left her home early Sunday for her usual church service but never returned, causing her family and neighbors to worry. Her husband reported her missing later that day when attempts to reach her failed.
Local authorities and concerned residents launched a search, scouring the surrounding areas for any sign of her. The search came to a horrifying end this morning when her lifeless body was discovered inside a big sack, discarded in a secluded area.
The Anambra State Police Command has launched a full investigation into the murder. Speaking to reporters, the police spokesperson expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured the public that every effort would be made to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
