Earlier today, a tragic accident occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, claiming multiple lives. The incident took place when a vehicle, attempting to escape from suspected kidnappers, veered off the road.

The vehicle, which was carrying several passengers, crashed after a high-speed attempt to evade the assailants.

Among the occupants was a 35-year-old man identified as Oluyemi. Miraculously, Oluyemi survived the crash, sustaining injuries that required immediate medical attention. He was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, other passengers in the vehicle were not as fortunate and lost their lives in the accident. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased, pending notification of their families.

The tragic event has raised concerns about the increasing reports of kidnapping on highways, prompting calls for enhanced security measures.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the vehicle swerving dangerously before the accident, which they later learned was an attempt to escape the kidnappers.

Local authorities are investigating the incident and have assured the public that efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects involved in the kidnapping attempt.

They also urge travelers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities along the highway.
