Dagogo made this appeal after receiving the nomination form from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the upcoming Local Government election, which is scheduled for October 5 in Rivers State.

This nomination form was purchased and given to him by supporters of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and other important figures in the Bonny Local Government Area. As a United Nations Social Economic Council Ambassador, Dagogo encouraged protesters in Rivers State to remain calm and peaceful. He pledged to lead his supporters from his hometown, Bonny, in the protests.

He emphasized that the right to protest is fundamental and should never be suppressed or taken away. Dagogo also highlighted the urgent need for the government to create a new social value system that addresses the growing needs and concerns of young people.

He praised Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his handling of the protests, noting that the governor’s decision to engage with the youths on the first day of the protests significantly helped reduce tension.

George Brown, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Ibifamam Allwell-Brown, a supporter of Governor Fubara, said that the decision to purchase the NNPP nomination form for Dagogo shows their commitment to supporting candidates in the upcoming Local Government elections based on their qualities and merits rather than their party affiliations.
