Salihu Lukman, the former Vice National Chairman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North West, has raised doubts about the support Nigerians would extend to Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
In an interview, Lukman expressed deep concerns regarding the current trajectory and electoral prospects of the APC.
Lukman stated firmly, “There is no way Nigerians can support Tinubu or any candidates from the APC in 2027.”
Reflecting on recent elections, Lukman lamented the erosion of public confidence in the APC. He attributed this decline to the party’s failure in addressing critical issues and fostering unity among its members.
Highlighting his observations, Lukman emphasized, “What I see President Asiwaju doing and the APC doing is undermining the trust of the electorate.”
Moreover, Lukman expressed apprehensions about the integrity of past elections and the potential for future electoral manipulations.
He emphasized that unless there is a sincere effort to rebuild trust and promote accountable leadership, the APC’s prospects in the 2027 elections remain uncertain.
