Stanley Okoruwa, a Lagos-based blogger, has issued a public apology for making baseless accusations against prominent businessman Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money, and Jennifer Awele, the wife of the late actor Junior Pope.

E-Money had previously launched a search for two women and a man who alleged that he had an affair with Awele. Following this, Okoruwa was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after E-Money filed a complaint regarding the defamatory video.

In a surprising turn of events, Okoruwa retracted his statements and expressed remorse for his actions, admitting that his accusations were fabricated to increase his Facebook followers.

“E-Money, I am so sorry for tarnishing your image. I only made the video claiming E-Money was sleeping with Junior Pope’s wife to gain more followers on Facebook,” he confessed during an interview with Arise TV.

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the blogger will face prosecution for allegedly defaming E-Money in his online video. “He is going to be prosecuted because the things he engaged in were criminal in nature. He has allegedly defamed E-money and he is going to be prosecuted,” Hundeyin stated.
