The third-place playoff will play a significant role in who will proceed to the main U-17 AFCON as the number of teams is not yet fixed.
As of the time of making this publication, it is quite unknown how many teams will progress from zone B to the main event which is also the qualifier for the FIFA U-17 world cup.
Some reports have it that three teams from Zone B will take part in the AFCON U-17 tournament while some reports have it that four teams will.
Nigeria has to win best Ghana if they are to secure their place in the tournament or await further verification on how many teams will take part from Zone B.
Nigeria will play Ghana today by 7pm Nigerian time as the winner will join with Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso in the automatic qualification spots.
