Contingents of the Nigeria U-17 girls, the Flamengos have departed the shores of the country to Monrovia, Liberian capital to partake in the last phase of the FIFA U-17 World cup qualifiers against Liberia.

The first leg of the tie will take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex at Paynesville – the same venue where the Super Eagles defeated the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone last year to qualify for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nigeria girls were rampant in the previous rounds after running riots against their Central African Republic and Burkina Faso counterparts.

The Central African Republic fell by a 12-goal margin in a two-legged tie while Burkina Faso were eliminated by a 7-1 aggregate.

Liberia, who eliminated Senegal from the race, will face an uphill task against the talented Nigerian girls with Coach Bankole Olowookere insisting that the Flamingos are determined to be in the Dominican Republic to have the opportunity to challenge for the trophy this time around.
