A tragic incident occurred today at Imo State Secondary School in Owerri, where a pregnant teacher, Mrs. Oyinye Okafor, slumped and died while delivering a lecture to her students.
The heartbreaking event unfolded during the morning session. Mrs. Okafor, who was six months pregnant, was in the middle of teaching her Chemistry class when she suddenly collapsed. Students immediately alerted the school authorities, who called for medical assistance.
Despite the swift response from paramedics, Mrs. Okafor was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The exact cause of her sudden collapse remains unknown, but initial reports suggest it may have been related to pregnancy complications.
