Actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi recently addressed criticisms from Nigerians regarding her support for President Tinubu during the 2023 general election.
After the election, Toyin posted about meeting the then-incoming President, where he discussed his plans to address the country’s issues.
Amidst the challenges Nigerians faced due to the ongoing strike, a user on X commented, hoping that Toyin would eventually reveal the President’s ideas for solving Nigeria’s problems.
In her response, Toyin mentioned that she was promised good governance and happiness for all. She questioned why she should bear the consequences if things didn’t go as planned. When asked if she believes the Tinubu administration has failed Nigerians, Toyin stated that she has focused on her acting career, emphasizing that she is neither a politician nor part of the government.
She also expressed regret over making her political stance public during the elections and responded strongly to some trolls who cursed her.
